New York: U.S. Camera Publishing Corp., 1962. Hardcover. Good Plus to Very Good/Good To Good Plus. In 1963, U.S. Camera's annual international collection of fine photography included a noteworthy section of photos of President Kennedy and his family two years into his first term in office and only months before his assassination. It also included a portfolio of work by David Douglas Duncan of full page, full color photos of paintings by Picasso, and a feature article and photos by Col. John Glenn on space exploration as well as the usual pictures of celebrities, nudes, animals and children. About 8 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches, 207 pages including photographic data and four pages of publisher's ads at back. Frontispiece is photo by Ken Heyman of his 8-day-old child. Bound in red paper-covered boards with gold lettering on spine. Dustjacket's front panel shows pair of color photos of young women reclining in grassy area. Back panel notes portfolios of work by Ansel Adams, Pirkle Jones, Luis Lemus, Frank Horvat and Jeanloup Sieff. Boards show slight wear along edges and at spine ends, o/w clean with no noticeable damage or flaws. Text shows crack in binding between frontispiece and title page, o/w text is complete, clean and unmarked. Not remaindered, not ex-library. Dustjacket shows soiling and wear at edges and spine ends, with tears and chipping at top of spine and top edge of front panel. w/o damage to graphics. Dj's obverse soiled along edges and along spine. Not price-clipped. Due to its historical content this edition has become increasingly scarce.
