. Quarto format, double column, The Vagrant no.1 comprises pp.6, the issue of The Constable has pp.8, together with a copy of a typescript sheet giving a history of the production [by C. H. PERRY], names of contributors hitherto hidden under pseudonyms and brief biographies. The Constable issue with some foxing, both with small edge tears and beginning to split at the centre folds, otherwise good copies. *COPAC records the British Library copies only. The very scarce copies of the in-house journals of the Working Men's College, London; they are not recorded in the centenary History of the College, by J. F. C. HARRISON. The College was first established in 1854 by the founders of Christian Socialism, Frederick Denison Maurice, Charles Kingsley, Thomas Hughes and R. B. Litchfield [who married Henrietta Darwin, Charles Darwin's daughter].
