Binding cracked inside at pastedowns. Nice and clean inside. Firbank s first novel which deals with the vain Mrs Shamefoot, who decides to achieve immortality by featuring in a stained glass window and is single minded in her pursuit of her goal. A comedic array of characters congregate around her appear in this social melee of ladies, daughters and servants.
