Descripción:
New York:: Grosset & Dunlap, 1935.. Reprint Edition.. Hardbound . BINDING/CONDITION: pictorial boards; Good condition.. 8vo (8.5 inches tall) . Description: Illustrated in black and white by Kurt Wiese. By the author of the Silver Chief series, this story is about a shepherd dog who plays a part in the war between sheep and cattle ranchers in the West. When the cattlemen of Montana objected to having a sheep ranch in their midst they did not stop at underhand methods to force Trent, Valiant's, master to move on. Trent , however, did not intend to be scared off. Treachery in his own camp, the kidnapping of his son David, and an attempt on Valiant' life, bring the story to a dramatic conclusion. The only printed date is the original 1935 copyright; this copy circa 1970s.
