Auction catalog featuring the Harned Collection of mostly 19th century European and American paintings including a pen and ink sketch by Rembrandt and a small landscape by J.M.W. Turner. Additional sections devoted to portraits of American historical figures, silhouettes by Charles Willson Peale's Museum and by Auguste Edouart, ivory miniatures, and ceramics, jewelry, and other items owned by George and Martha Washington. The latter includes a book from President Washington's library: a presentation copy of National Arithmetick.
