New York: Harper & Row, 1976. This Stated First U.S. Edition (and unless it's stated, it isn't) also has the required "number line" ending in a "1" to indicate First Printing. Both the book and dust jacket are in Fine condition (click on photo). The story involves two brilliant boys at an English public school, whose dabblings in the occult ultimately lead to mindless violence. The book is bound in black boards with a red-orange spine cloth with die-stamped gilt lettering. The dust jacket has its original price and shows only minimal wear. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. It's a fine collectible for Desmond Stewart admirers. The book measures 5 5/8 by 8 1/4 inches and includes 169 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
