Small 4to bound in fours and sixes, signatures: a6, b-c4, d6, e-f4, g6, h-k4, l6; approximately 200 x 145 mm, 8¼ x 5¾ inches, 4 woodcuts to title page, larger black Gothic letters as headings to poems, 52 leaves only, lacks part 2, leaves 53-128, bound in modern wine coloured half morocco, marbled boards, gilt lettering and rules to spine, new endpapers. Tiny repair to outer margin of title page, small pale stain to outer margin of many pages, not affecting text, 1 lower corner has tiny tear, paper fault, pale age-browning to a few pages, last page has 1 line of manuscript note in red ink, all upper corners have been numbered in old ink: 309-360, the book may have been part of a Sammelband at sometime, 2 tipped in old catalogue descriptions on endpaper, a few small ink splashes to margins of last leaf, otherwise a very good copy of the first part only, religious poems, the second part contains secular poems.
