Voluptuous color photography of Venetian landscapes, waterscapes, exotic interiors and masquerades, with several large fold-outs, by the legendary Japanese photographer. A clean, unmarked and tightly bound copy - no writing, bookplates or stampings. Hardcover of deep pink cloth over boards is titled in white on front and spine. Cover is fresh and fine. Matching pink endpapers with flocking are fine. Binding and hinges firm, intact and straight. Jacket has an unusual design of color printing over silver foil, giving a ghostly aura to the masked figure on the front. It is bright and clean with slight rubbing to surface and edges, light 3" c-shaped indent to front panel, small creases at head of spine. The jacket is in a clear archival protector. Sleeve, of light board, titled in color on front (English and Japanese), Japanese text on back panel, is clean and intact though moderately rubbed and edgeworn, corners more heavily rubbed; remains of Rizzoli price sticker on rear panel. A very scarce volume. 10-1/2 x 14-1/2"; 108 pages (several fold out), on heavy coated paper.. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Narahara, Ikko (photographer). Folio.
