Dust-jacket protected in archival mylar cover.; 1955 "Mariners Library" reprint edition of a title first published in 1913, and first published in the "Mariners Library" in 1949. xv, [1], 326, [2 (blank)] pages + 9 illustrations on 4 plate leaves. Maps on endpapers. Beige cloth boards with blue lettering on spine, blue compass illustration on front board. Page dimensions: 183 x 119mm. This is an account of Voss's intrepid journey around the world in the canoe Tilikum. The Tilikum was a canoe with sails built according to a Canadian Indian design. The hull was carved from a single log of cedar. This edition with a 6 page Introduction by Richard Hughes, dated 1949. Series: The Mariners Library, #3. .
