FIRENZE: NELLA STAMPERIA DI GIUSEPPE TOFANI E COMP. , 1791. Rara opera del 1791 sulla storia della bacchetta divinatoria in Toscana. Autore anonimo ma opera attribuita al chimico naturalista e politico fiorentino Giovanni Fabbroni (1752-1822). Febbroni fu direttore del musei di fisica e storia naturale di Firenze, socio dell’Accademia dei Georgofili e direttore della zecca granducale. Scrisse opere di vario genere: arte e archeologia, industria mineraria, economia politica spesso di interesse toscano. In questo trattato Febbroni descrive e cerca di confutare l’arte della rabdomanzia attraverso esperimenti messi in pratica in varie zone della Toscana. Presente una critica a Cagliostro alias Giuseppe Balsamo. Alcune antiche note manoscritte. Spesso viene citato un tale “Sig. T..” indicato con antica non manoscritta come “Touveneille”.
