A Very Good + to Near Fine copy of the first trade edition, first printing, in the Publisher's original green boards with the spine and front board lettered in gilt and decorated in blind (some pushing to the spine ends, foxing to the closed page block's leading and bottom edges, top edge gilt, offsetting to the pastedowns and adjoining free endpapers, prior bookstore sticker to the front pastedown's lower left corner, in a Very Good + example of the SCARCE to RARE dust jacket a few tears and chips, complete with a guarded frontispiece and 54 additional guarded color illustrations scattered throughout the book, with each such illustration being bright and beautiful. [A limited edition of 100 copies in vellum was simultaneously issued.] A considerably nicer copy of this volume than is typically seen on the market, complete in the SCARCE TO RARE DUST JACKET. QUITE SCARCE INDEED.
