Neapoli: Typis Francisci Sauii Typolgraphi Curiae; Sauius, 1634. Book. Very good condition. Hardcover. First Edition. Octavo (8vo). [xvi], 400 pages of text, followed by [xi] pages of index. Original vellum binding is moderately worn and is heavily darkened on the spine; stamped "AA" on the boards over which is stamped a crown. Previous owner's name on the title page "T. Fletcher". A few small previous owner markings on the front endpapers. Several pages are slightly browned, the final page of index has a wormhole in the margin, and the closed page edges have minor staining. The text is quite clean and is unmarked. There are three sections of the book, Vesuvius Praemonens, Terrens, and Perdens which provide instruction on the volcano giving warning, spreading terror, and waning or dying. First edition..
