For thirty-three consecutive years she kept a diary recording what she did, where she shopped, who came to call,, what her family ate, and who they entertained, and much more. Her parents country house was Westwood Lodge, Ramsgate, Kent and they spent much time at Townley Castle, Ramsgate. Their London house in Kensington is now open as a museum.
