Sobre este artículo
New York: E. P. Dutton and Co, 1968. Second Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near fine. Essays by the beat writer associated with the New Journalism movement, which was in its earliest stages with this publication. Forward by Norman Mailer.
This is a revised and expanded edition, and the first hardcover edition (the original 1961 edition was a paperback original).
256 pages. First hardcover edition (first printing). A near fine copy in a like dust jacket (publisher's imprint on spine printed in red and fading). Review slip laid in along with an autograph letter, signed (ALS) from Krim to "Ralph", most likely the music writer Ralph Gleason.
The letter is dated 4/11/68, about a month before the official publication date. "Here's reissue of Cannoneer with some new material from same period. Good to see your columns again. (Read last piece in book, expanded, for some jazzy writing which was fun to do & go closer to the truth even when it missed-which it does occasionally. Best to Jean. Seymour." Ralph Gleason wrote about jazz for the San Francisco Chronicle and his wife was named Jean, hence the attribution.
