The first UK edition of this work, originally published in the US in 1961. Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper. An uncommon copy. Essays included discuss a range of topics, from sex and homosexuality to jazz and literary New York. With a foreword by Norman Mailer. Seymour Krim was an author and literary critic of the Beat Generation, who contributed to a number of magazines including Playboy and International Times among others. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear, minor bumping to head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper is unclipped and very smart with minor shelf wear only, spine sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
