Volume I was published in 1818 for The Proprietors by W.H. Reid, and contains seventy-two engraved plates. Volume II was published in 1819 by Sherwood, Neeley, and Jones, and contains seventy-two engraved plates. Volume III was published in 1820 by Sherwood, Neeley, and Jones, and contains seventy-two engraved plates.Volume VI was published in 1823 by Sherwood, Neeley, and Jones, and contains seventy-two engraved plates.Collated and complete.From the Ascott House library, owned by the de Rothschild family. The library was created following the conversion of the billiards room in 1936 and was predominantly filled with books collected by Anthony de Rothschild. In quarter morocco binding. Rebacked, with the original contemporary calf laid down to the boards. Externally, very smart, with just some very light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Slight darkening to the rebacked calf to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spines. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Some instances of spotting to the pages, more prominent to the first and last few pages and a few of the plates, though many pages do remain bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
