Many of the photographs were shot during Mortensen's recent travels to Morocco, Cuba, and the northern plains of the United States, but could have been shot in your backyard. Depending on one's point of view, the imagery can be seen as either fighting with light or embracing it, holding time or forgetting it". This 2003 publication from actor/artist/musician/poet/all-around renaissance guy Viggo Mortensen is beautifully designed and printed. It is an artist's book - much more abstract than his previous titles, but every bit as engaging.
