Slip cover is bright and clean and intact, with minor wear along edges, minor scuffs and general aging throughout. In the front and back of each volume a few pages of advertising. -good.-(Wrappers are browned and worn, especially around the edges. Wrapper from the second quarter shows moist spots. Both spines have some damage at the ends. The pages with advertising are browned as well, but the pages with text and illustrations are in good condition.).

Royal 8vo (254 x 191mm): 24pp, including 12 highlights, on 9 black-and-white plates, from the exhibit of 85 posters designed by Kauffer for London Underground, Great Western Railways, Shell, and other English clients. Stapled illustrated card covers screen-printed in French blue, black, and grey. About Fine, with minute wear to lower front cover edge, else virtually pristine. Scarce. Kauffer moved to London at the start of the First World War, and is probably best remembered for the 140 posters he created for London Underground (later London Transport), in many styles showing influences of futurism, cubism, and vorticism as well as impressionism and Japanese woodcuts.
