Good. - A 10 inch high by 8-1/4 inch wide glossy black & white vintage photograph by Scotty Welborne depicting the beautiful young movie star Lilli Palmer from the chest up. The glamorous actress is pictured in three-quarter profile in a shoulderless dress. There are minor creases to the corners and a few tiny tears along the top edge. Three holes have been punched along the left edge. The photographer's credit is mostly faded. Good.
This a vintage publicity photo, not a reproduction, sent out to newspapers and periodicals of the period. Text from a printed press release tipped onto the verso reads: "ROMANTIC LINGUIST. Lilli Palmer, English and Viennese film star, will make her American screen debut via romancing with Gary Cooper in 'Cloak and Dagger,' Unites States Pictures's spy drama now before the cameras at Warner Bros. Experts consider her assignment to the role as a brilliant piece of casting, because she speaks several languages and Cooper will have to make love in each of them as the story bounces from here to there in Europe."
