Bound in full navy leather with spine titles in gilt and decorative armorial shield in gilt on front boards. Top edge gilt. Square, tight and clean text throughout. Off-setting to end-papers and paste-downs. Rubbing to edges, hinges and tips and particularly heavy to spine ends. Bookplate of Ansel and Effie Verity on front paste-downs. Lacking slipcase. Signed by the author on the ffep of volume one. Not perfect but a collectable set at a great price.
