This is the hilarious story of how an impecunious but ingenious single mother raised three daughters in a small Virginia town, and still helped her eldest to become a successful actress. Never reprinted since the early 50's, This FIRST EDITION STATED is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/4", 254 page hardcover, with the ORIGINAL PRICE-CLIPPED DUST JACKET. Overall condition of the book is VERY GOOD PLUS. Pages = Very Good Plus: pencil marks on first and last fep's, foxing to outer edges, some process staining to first and last fep's, else, very tight, white, clear, sharp, with no additional marks. Cover (yellow cloth boards with design and particulars in blue on spine only) = Near Fine: rubbing to edges and top and bottom of spine, else very tight, sharp, colorful, clear print, square. ORIGINAL DUST JACKET (blue and yellow glossy paper, with b/w photo of author front and particulars in black and white) = Good: 1 1/2" chunk of lower spine missing, light chipping to top edges and flap folds, else whole, colorful, most of particulars clear.
