Mal Ferrell." Laid in are two notes by Ferrell to Searle thanking Searle for the use of his photographs and to offer an autographed copy of V&T at pre-published price. Both are signed by Ferrell. Bob Searle was a rail fan and railroad photographer since his youth. Many of his photographs have been used and credited in numerous railroad books. He also worked for the Western Pacific Railroad. The Virginia & Truckee is a history of this famous Nevada railroad. 300 pages with photographs, maps, rosters, car and locomotive diagrams, bibliography and index. Fine in near fine, bright dust jacket with 1/8th inch tear and associated crease.
