Previous owners name in pencil on front endpaper. Very light foxing to endpapers and fore-edge of textblock. Binding sound. Dustjacket condition: Fair to good, generally lightly shelfworn with more wear and a couple of small tears to head and tail of spine. Spine is sunned with a couple of small water-splashmarks. 256pp. This book was written with the intention to help the reader of books by Virginia Woolf. The author maintains that there are three main themes which inspired Woolf to write her books. At the time of her first three novels it was love and freedom; in the middle period, when she wrote Mrs Dalloway and Orlando, she was concerned with marriage and truth; and finally in her last books, with the world and reality..
