Sobre este artículo

North Hills, PA: Bird & Bull Press, 1970. Copy number 82 from an edition of 210 numbered copies. 8vo, pp. [ii], 88, [4]. 2 title pages printed in two colors, 10 facsimile pages (2 folding) plus 2 inserted facsimile leaves, 1 tipped-in illustration, and 5 woodcut illustrations reproduced in a range of colors. Loosely inserted is a sample sheet of the paper originally produced for use on the cover, on Batchelor's Kelmscott moulds, but later deemed unsuitable. The first part of the book describes a visit made by Henry Morris to J. Barcham Green - the famous hand papermaking firm in England - giving a history of the firm and reproducing correspondence between William Morris and Joseph Batchelor regarding production of paper. The second part of the book reprints a number of letters written by Nathan Guilford during a trip to Kentucky in 1814. Some light stains and a few bumps to the printed paper-covered boards, and remnants of a removed bookplate on front paste-down endpaper (see photos), otherwise a very good, tight copy in the original quarter maroon morocco over printed paper-covered boards, gilt titling on spine.
