Presents "The lives of artists from Verona, and descriptions of the art treasures of the city, including private collections and decorative paintings in buildings. Based on documents and earlier sources. Index of artists at the beginning of the volume." ARNTZEN-RAINWATER H116. "Libro accreditato, e scritto un coltissimo amatore cose patrie." CICOGNARA 2351. "Brief biographies of the important artists of Verona, many architects among them, from the fourteenth century to the beginning of the eighteenth." FOWLER 254 (with Aggiunta). UNIVERSAL CATALOGUE OF BOOKS ON ART. Vol.II, p.1646. One quire slightly toned, balance very fresh, clean and sharp. The short 44 page supplement (Aggiunta all Vita) was published the same year and is generally lacking in the copies listed in the OCLC (FOWLER being an exception).
