An original pen and ink drawing of Vladimire de Pachmann in 1892 by Frank Holme most of whose 750 drawings and etchings are at the University of Arizona. He founded the Bandar Log Press.. There are very few images of the famed Pachmann with a full beard in the early 1890's who was one of the great interpreters of Chopin. Since Holme was in Chicago as a highly regarded newspaper artist, he attended concert and drew this remarkable image. His midwest tour from Chicago to Indianapolis was in late March when this item is most likely to have been drawn. By his return to London in November of 1892 his beard has been mostly removed.
