Paperback edition, sixth impression. *Winner of the Kurt Maschler Award in 1998, this copy is inscribed and signed by the author/artist on the title page: 'For dear Albert' [Melbourne bookseller Albert Ullin]. Above his signature, Brown has sketched a small black & white version of the title page vignette (a fedora hat). For his contribution to children's literature Anthony Browne won the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2000.
