Paris: Chez Desaint, 1769. 1st edition. Leather Bound. pp. xlviii, 576,12mo. Bound in original mottled full leather with marbled endpapers. The original binding is worn, spine is cracked and flaking. The joints are weak, although the hinges are tight. A few early marginal notes to the first part of the book. Contents generally age-toned, with some foxing. Overall, a decent reading copy only. Priced accordingly. Published in a set of twelve volumes bound in eight, of which this is the first volume (of eight), containing accounts (in this volume) of the author's visits to, and observations made, in the Alps, Turin, Milan, Parma and Modena.
