Sobre este artículo
Tokyo: HBJ Shuppankyoku, 1994. Hardcover. 183p., text in Japanese, very good hardcover, inscribed and signed by author;. Title alludes to Natsume Soseki's "I am a Cat" and is narrated from the point of view of the HIV virus commenting, as does Soseki's cat, on the follies of humans. The book's stated aim is to explain virology and clear the virus of the trumped up charges of "causing" the disease and making people suffer. The real culprit is in human behavior. The emergence of AIDS in the US, in Haiti, and elsewhere is discussed. One chapter deals with the response to the emergence of AIDS in New York - discussing the "witch hunt" that ensued. The penultimate chapter discusses AIDS in Japan and gives separate words of advice to men and women on how to prevent it. A final chapter is targeted toward medical professionals.
