Wakefield: The West Yorkshire Printing Company (Privately Published), 1939. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). Second Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. The two volume second edition, in the original dust-wrappers revised and enlarged from the first edition, of this classic of local history, with a list of subscribers, numbered and signed by the author. In vg condition bound in original blue cloth with blocking to front and spine, bevelled boards with d/w's. Previous owners name to fep of both volumes. In vg condition a numbered limited edition of 350 copies signed by J.W. Walker. All editions of this work are now elusive particularly with d/w's. This is NOT the inferior 1960s reprint version..
