Condition: Good but water stains at top of some pages. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Reprint. Reprint (1938.) Hardcover with dust jacket. 8vo with 196 pages and 87 plates. The book is good but about half the pages have water stains at the top and/or bottom of the pages not affecting the photos. Previous owners name in ink on front end page. The dust jacket is in good condition with some shelf wear and missing a small piece at top of spine and front, right corner, $2.50 price on front flap of DJ which is separated from the rest of the DJ. Lacking errata slip. "Photos of Americana and the human situations for which Walker is so well known. published for the first exhibition of Evans' photographs at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. One of America's most renowned Photographers."

The John Nichols Gallery opened in 1984 in Historic Downtown Santa Paula, California. In 1986 a new and used bookstore was opened with the gallery in the back. The name of the bookstore was Mr. Nichols. Now all the books are sold through John Nichols Gallery along with art, vintage photographs and custom framing. The current location is on the second floor of the Santa Paula Art Museum, 117 N. 10th St., Santa Paula, CA. Open by appointment or by chance
