Very Good. Folded menu on pink card stock. Nice graphic on the front. 5 ½" x 3 ¼". 3pp. Sunday, May 20, 1883. Menu has light soiling and wear, and previous owner's name "Pettibone" is written on the front cover. Overall very good. The Walker House was built in 1872 and located in downtown Salt Lake City on South Main Street. It had a good reputation and attracted guests such as President Ulysses S. Grant during his 1875 tour of the west. The hotel was torn down around 1900 and replaced with the David Keith Building in 1902. Menu highlights include Pineapple Salad with Champagne Sauce, Lambs Tongue Saute a la Chasseur, and Viennoise Pudding with Brandy Sauce. On the last page of the menu is a list of train departures and arrivals, hours of meals for guests, and hours of meals for children and servants. One copy dated to 1879 at the University of Utah as of October 2021. .
