Sobre este artículo
New York:: Farrar, Straus, & Giroux,, 1975.. First Printing of the First US Edition. A Fine, tight copy in a Fine bright unclipped dust jacket. Knut Hamsun was a pioneer in psychological literature with techniques of stream of consciousness and interior monologue, as found in material by James Joyce, Marcel Proust, and Virginia Woolf. A theme to which Hamsun often returned is that of the perpetual wanderer, an itinerant stranger (often the narrator) who shows up and insinuates himself into the life of small rural communities. This wanderer theme is central to many of his novels including these two closely related novels.
