It is an account of the naval war that lasted from Napoleon's seizure of power in 1798 to the War of 1812 with the US. It brilliantly illustrates how the British navy gained control of the oceans.
The dust jacket of this book has bits of white-out on it, and some wear to the edges. There is very minor fading to the bottom of the cover. The inside is perfect.
