London: W. H. Smith and Son. Very Good. Hardcover. Linen-backed map of Eastern Europe during the late 19th century. Map measures 22" X 34 ½", is hand-colored and housed in original red cloth boards. The map depicts Eastern Europe circa 1877, but there is no publication date. Boards have moderate soiling and wear, pastedown and interior of spine has wear and paper is chipping; linen backing has light soiling and map has light foxing. Colors are bright. We believe this map to depict Europe circa 1877 during the time of the last Russo-Turkish Wars. This brightly colored map and depicts major road and railroads, fortified towns, and fortresses throughout the continent. Only 3 copies on OCLC as of September 2020. .
