Sobre este artículo

New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 1889. First US Edition Thus/Early Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/N/A. A lovely set of four volumes in two that likely published after the four volume first authorized American edition in olive cloth by the same publisher. In blue cloth and bright gilt. A little tanning to top and front page ends with a light stain/smudge to top page ends of first volume. A few tiny spots of wear to spine ends and corners, otherwise few marks. Some foxing to endpapers, otherwise clean interior, sharp corners and tight bindings.

Sinopsis

War and Peace, a Russian novel by Leo Tolstoy, is considered one of the world's greatest works of fiction. It is regarded, along with Anna Karenina (1873–1877), as his finest literary achievement. Epic in scale, War and Peace delineates in graphic detail events leading up to Napoleon's invasion of Russia, and the impact of the Napoleonic era on Tsarist society, as seen through the eyes of five Russian aristocratic families.
