Sobre este artículo
New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1897. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. Octavo; pp. xi, (i), 169; Frontispiece portrait; blue cloth, gilt, top edge gilt; Old bookplate and two stickers on the paste-down; Very good, edge wear at spine ends. Washington inspires devotion on many levels. Runk sees Washington as an epic figure and treats him accordingly in verse, much as John Neihardt will do with Western heroes three decades later. This copy nicely inscribed and dated 1900 on a preliminary leaf.
