London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1981. First edition. Hardback. Fine/Fine. Both the book and the dust jacket are in near fine condition. The book has a very tiny bump to the bottom rear corner but it is barely noticeable. The jacket just has a trace of discolouration to its inner surface and some very slight bumping/creasing to the top of the spine. Small, neat 'New Fiction Society' sticker to base of spine. This is Fay Weldon's first collection of short stories. They vary widely in theme while remaining avowedly feminist, sometimes bitter, sometimes angry, yet always handled with with, irony & courage. Fay Weldon's observation is always wonderfully acute.
