This is the first reprint of this scarce Nigel Tranter novel published in 1943. The first impression having been published in 1941. This is stated as such on the verso of the title page. This copy has been SIGNED by Nigel Tranter with a presentation inscription to the front free endpaper. The inscription reads 'To Cecil Caves with Nigel G.Tranter's very kind regards, Kensington, May 1943' Housed in the elusive pictoral dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Black and white photograph of the author to the rear panel. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Photgraphs of the book and the dustwrapper are available on request.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Very Good +/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 2nd Impression.
