Sobre este artículo
Franklin Library Edition, 1981. PENNSYLVANIA: FRANKLIN LIBRARY, 1981. Black Leatherette over boards, with gold design sand lettering. Good/No DJ as issued. Godfroy Durand. The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 24 stories that runs to over 17,000 lines written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer. In 1386, Chaucer became Controller of Customs and Justice of Peace and, three years later, Clerk of the King's work in 1389. It was during these years that Chaucer began working on his most famous text, The Canterbury Tales. The Waverley Novels are a long series of novels by Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832). For nearly a century, they were among the most popular and widely read novels in all of Europe. Because Scott did not publicly acknowledge authorship until 1827, the series takes its name from Waverley, the first novel of the series released in 1814. The later books bore the words "by the author of Waverley" on their title pages. The Tales of my Landlord sub-series was not advertised as "by the author of Waverley" and thus is not always included as part of the Waverley Novels series. Franklin Library, Franklin Center, Pennsylvania 1981. The Franklin Library, 1982, Very Good. Leatherette, 22 kt. gold accents and lettering, printed with acid neutral pages that are thread sewn, not glued together, gold gilded page edges to further protect the pages, raised spine bands that give each volume that distinctive antique look, decorated end papers.
