The first edition, tenth impression of this work in its publisher's red cloth binding. This work comprises the autobiographical account of American aviator and military officer Charles Lindbergh, famous for winning the Orteig Prize for making the first nonstop flight from New York City to Paris in 1927. A celebrated work, which recounts of Lindbergh's life up to, and including, his famous solo trans-Atlantic flight in the 'Spirit of St. Louis', a custom-built, single engine, single seat Ryan monoplane. With a foreword by Myron T. Herrick. Illustrated with forty seven full page plates of photographs, this copy is lacking the frontispiece. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Inscribed to the recto of the front blank page, undated, Internally, firmly bound. With a faint minor spotting to the first and last few leaves, otherwise the pages are very clean throughout. Illustrated with forty seven full page plates of photographs, this copy is lacking the frontispiece.  Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
