Very clean beige cloth boards with illustration on cover (men in lifeboat at sea), black lettering on spine. No fading, bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Clean illustrated endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Frontispiece glossy photo of the author, and SIGNED in beautiful penmanship by the author on title page: "Best Wishes of James C. Whittaker." All pages are clean and bright. Illustrated with sketches and map by Gary Sheahan; photographic illustrations. Small newspaper article laid in regarding the author's appearance at an assembly. 139 pages. Clean bright dust jacket is not price clipped (2.00 on front inside flap); has a few small shallow edge chips; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
