Sobre este artículo

Philadelphia; New York: J.B. Lippincot, 1942. Author inscribed: "Jessie Potter is our favorite person up and down Umbagog, including parts east, west, north, and south for a radius of 3,000 miles. Signed, Louise Dickinson Rich". Jessie Potter, likely recipient of this copy (?), is mentioned in Rich's book Happy the Land, on page 118: "We don't see quite so much of Jessie Potter as we do of the Hesseltines, because she lives way down the lake round the bend...". Edition of off-white textured cloth with brown cover design and spine (with pine tree) has some faded black ex-libris markings, hardly visible, on spine. Inside on front end papers (of maps of the area) there is a book plate that explains: "This Book Belongs to 'Fred Lemieux' Collection". All extremities of cloth binding somewhat worn and stained and bumped, and dust cover has some chipping, especially on top of spine. Back cover board is coming loose from back end papers some, but inside pages are clean and tight. 20 illustrations from photographs from this "true story of a Maine Family Robinson"!. Inscribed By Author and Association. Hard Cover. Poor/Poor. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Reseñas

El Jun 14 2017, un lector dijo:
I don't understand either of these other two reviews, but this book is my favorite book ever. LDR has such a clear, crisp way of writing and her stories from her years living in rural (VERY rural) Maine in the early 1900s are poignant, funny, and timeless. I picked this book up at a used bookstore not knowing anything about it and was pleasantly surprised to find a real gem.

This is a book of pirates. There is no caribbean cricket in here. Ignore the other review.

El Mar 8 2009, Bikini dijo:
I love caribbean cricket till my death
