Guggisberg. A first edition copy. We Two in West Africa is written by couple Decima Moore and Major F. G. Guggisberg. Guggisberg was a senior British army officer and British Empire colonial administrator who published a number of works on military topics and Africa. Decima Moore was an English singer and actress who accompanied her second husband to West Africa. This work details the couples experiences and travels in West Africa. With in-text illustrations and a folding map to the rear. Collated, complete. In the original cloth binding. Externally, a little worn to the spine with bumping and slight loss to the head and tail of the spine. Some marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. Previous owner inscriptions and bookseller sticker to the front endpapers. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright pages with some scattered spots throughout. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
