McClellan, pp 15 - 35, dedicating the monument at West Point erected in honor of the fallen of the Civil War "this monument is to perpetuate the memory of a portion only of those who have fallen for the nation in this unhappy war... " (p17). 12mo, 36pp (last blank), (4)pp, the Benediction & "To the Public", thanking them for their contributions towards the Monument; last page advertisement for "Gen. McClellan's Report and Campaigns". Dark brown stamped buckram, gilt tile to front board. Spine strengthened with a later lighter brown cloth. Some light scattered fox spotting to early pages, o/w very good overall.
