Sobre este artículo
Garden City: Doubleday, Page & Co, 1917. Very Good. 10 parts in 2 portfolios: illustrations, portraits; 32 cm. Brown cloth spine with printed paper spine label; brown paper over boards, printed in black. With original wrapper for each of 10 parts. Each portfolio contains 100 plates, with text, issued in fascicles of 20 plates each. Each portfolio lists the contents on the back board. Although the portfolios give George H. Doran as the publisher, the individual parts give Doubleday, Page & Co., except for part 10, Ship Building, which bears the London imprint (Country Life and George Newnes). Muirhead Bone (1876-1953) was the first official British war artist during World War One. A heavy set; for international shipping, the U.S. Postal Service requires that it be shipped by priority international. In Very Good Condition: portfolio covers are rubbed, with loss from edges of paper spine labels and fraying at corners of spines; small stain at upper fore-edge of vol. 1 board; chipping to fore-edges of wrapper of vol. 2 pt. 1; otherwise, clean and bright.
