Armstrong was most famous for his work in philosophy of mind and metaphysics. In this book, Armstrong presents sustained criticism of the regularity theory traditionally attributed to Hume, and then develops an original theory of laws of nature as relations between universals. A very attractive copy of the first edition, uncommon as such. Jacket shows toning to its flaps.
