Valdese, NC: Historic Valdese Foundation, 1993. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 240 pp. The jacket has a 3/4" closed tear at the head of the front flap fold. The front cover is stamped in gold with the previous owner's name "Jack D. Grooms." This is a special presentation copy, signed by the authors on the half-title page, but also signed on the front endpapers by many of the descendants of the first settlers of Valdese.
