Harry Estill Moore (1897-1966) was a professor of sociology at the University of Texas and the author of numerous books. This pamphlet was the first separate publication under his own name. The following year, he was the co-author (with Howard W. Odum) of "American Regionalism: a Cultural-Historical Approach to National Integration.
