The text is illustrated with dual coloured photography and black and white illustrations. Illustrated front cover, showing a Shinto temple behind some trees. Illustration has been pasted on post production. The covers of the book are in atrocious condition -- stained, rubbed, faded and incredibly dirty. Crumpling and rubbing to the book edges. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Staining to the half title page and there is foxing and marks to the end papers. The results of insect activity can be seen on the half title page. The remnants of the glassine dustwrapper have been loosely placed in the back of the book. The history and look at Japanese religion -- Shinto. Tourist Library -- series -- No. 8.
